About me!
Wednesday 20th September 2006 7:07 AM
Name: Tony Buck Age: 26, Born: 03/11/1979 @ Halifax General Hospital, Grew Up: In Brighouse, Schools: St. Andrews Junior & Infants and Brighouse High School, Earliest Memory: Moving house aged 2; my contribution was carrying my cereal bowl to the new house literally around the corner!
Most Embarrassing Moment: Recently I went to see a friend do a trials biking demonstration. He asked me and another guy to come out from the crowd and help with one of his stunts. I was eager to go and play my part and when I was called out I went to jump over one of the crowd barriers, tripped over it and fell over the fence instead of jumping over it, in front of a crowd of about 200 people.
About Me!!
I was born as the youngest child with two older sisters (not a great start in life) who generally bossed me about as older sisters do. I was encouraged as a young boy to support Bradford City FC which I still do today. I enjoyed getting involved in most sports and had an ambition to be a sports coach in later life. Aged 5 my parents began going to a local church and soon became Christians (whatever that meant), they continued to attend Brighouse Evangelical Church and we would go along each week as a family. Aged 11 I began to get involved in going along to various Christian youth groups and enjoyed making friends, playing games, particularly football and learning about the Christian faith. Aged 13 I became a Christian and realised what being a Christian meant. Basically I had understood the message in the bible for some time. I knew that I had done wrong things and that the only way I could be forgiven was to ask God to forgive me for the wrong things I've done and to make me a new person.
Aged 17 & 18 my parents both died from cancer related illnesses; this was a tough time and a real test of my faith. God brought me through the difficult times and has blessed me in many ways since. Aged 22 after spending five years working in engineering I followed a call from God to get involved in full time youth work, I had been involved in the youth work at Brighouse Evangelical since I became a Christian.
Full time youth work was a new challenge for me and I spent nearly four years working on the Holmewood estate in Bradford with young people on an alternative education programme. I also studied youth and community work whilst working in Bradford. Aged 25 I was married to Meg! Aged 26 appointed the new schools worker for CICS Calderdale Aged 26+. I don't know what the future holds for me but I know that God has brought me back to Calderdale for a reason. I am looking forward to working in the schools across Calderdale and sharing with the young people in a way that inspires them to know God, serve God and share God in their school.

Hello :)
I'm a student of Brighouse High School, and I was curious, in the Rock Solid club that you sometimes go to, do you do a Christian debate at all?
It would be awesome to debate about the existence of God and such, as I've been looki
