Carrying our vision forward.

In 2002 the first group of enthusiasts formed the Trust, and the seed which they planted and nurtured has grown into the well-established Christian Initiative in Calderdale Schools (CICS). The many churches and individuals who back CICS entrust the CICS Trustees to oversee this outreach of the Calderdale church into schools and to ensure that CICS continues to grow to God's purpose. In particular the Trustees must seek God's mind in their use of finance and when appointing and supporting the school workers.

Being a CICS Trustee
Decisions are made by the whole Trust after discussion, with some items being delegated to subgroups. Individual Trustees take lead responsibility for specific roles: chair, secretary, line manager, treasurer, IT and publicity, prayer. We have urgent need for a treasurer. We also feel the Trust should have a fundraiser, someone taking responsibility for our volunteers, someone assisting with administration generally and someone overseeing our website. But roles will always be adapted to match our needs to the skills of the Trustees.

Into 2009
If this vision is to keep growing, the Trust must itself be refreshed with new Trustees.

For more information on a possible role, please click on it. Please do not be put off by the list of ideal requirements. If you would like to be a Trustee before offering for anything specific, you are welcome to raise that possibility. You must do whatever you feel God is calling you to do.
