Volunteers are at the heart of CICS! The time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm that our volunteers bring is amazing. Pictured above are some of our volunteers at a thank you evening CICS held.
Have a look through the details below to see if you would be suitable as a CICS volunteer...
Do you have an hour a week to spare? (only about 30 hours a year)
Do you have 4 or 5 or 6 or more?
Do you enjoy being round young people?
Are you concerned for young people?
Do you want them to share your experiences of Jesus and God’s love?
Do you have practical skills you could share?
Are you willing to have training, if necessary?
Are you over 15? (Work experience a possibility)
Are you over 18? (Gap Year a possibility)
CICS needs volunteers and could use your skills in various capacities
You could accompany a worker into a school at lunchtime for Question Point
Run a new group (with support if you wish)
Help us prepare and run an Activity Day
Help at an after school group, or training sessions for young people
Help with the administration of the trust
Build up Primary school work – Its Your Move, etc.
Build up church-school links
Help with administration of the Trust and/or become a trustee.
You can email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can talk about possibilities. All of our volunteers are subject to a DBS check and references are taken. Volunteers work alongside a CICS worker or an experienced volunteer and are always under the guidelines of the school. All of our volunteers need to be a Christian and sympathetic with our Christian aims and values.
